Licensed Optician

Thank you for stopping in at Made You Look Optical.

I am so excited to be opening my own store, and what could be better than being able to do that in the neighbourhood that I call home.

I would like to take a second and introduce myself, my name is Diane and I have been in the optical industry for over 27 years.  Right from the very start I knew this was the field for me.  I have been fortunate to have worked in many aspects of the industry from retail to professional sales, consulting and being an optician.  But no matter what I was doing, I always knew helping people see their best was my passion.

Having my own store allows me to offer superior service to all my customers.  I like to take the time to explain your prescription to you, what the numbers mean and what all your options are.  There are many ways to fill a prescription, with many different lens and frame options, I want to make sure you understand all those options and that you are making decisions based on what is best for you and your visual needs.

When I am not filling prescriptions, I can usually be found hanging out with my pig Sheldon!  My husband and I run a hospice for elderly, sick and terminally ill animals.  We have over the years been the home to many dogs, cats, birds, horses and one adorable pig.

I also can be heard from a distance playing my bagpipes.  I have had the pleasure and honour of being a part of some amazing bands and now I am concentrating on being a solo competitor.

Again, I want to thank you for stopping by.  I look forward to meeting everyone, please pop in and say hello!

Cheers Diane

Welcome to Lazy Dazy Animal Haven There are two things that are very dear and important to me. Helping people see their best, and the care and welfare of animals. That's why my husband and I started Lazy Dazy Animal Haven. While there are so many animals in need of a home, the elderly, terminally ill, or severely abused always get left behind. These are the ones that need us the most, when they are at their most vulnerable. So we opened our home to these gentle souls. Helping them through their illness and trauma, or just a quiet, safe, lovely home to feel like they matter to someone. Over the last 18 years we have been home to dogs, cats, parrots, horses, and even a pig, yes one that lives in the house with us! These beautiful creatures have taught us so much. How to strong, loving and selfless. Give us so much love and ask so little in return. They make us better people.
